Strawberries '11

We did our annual strawberry trip, minus Dad. We had fun eating and picking.

Field Trip to Georgia Capital

Carsten and I spent the day at the Georgia State Capital Building with his 3rd grade class. We spent the day learning all about the building and our government. Carsten found all the history fascinating.

Carissa's fifth grade field day, her last one (tear). It was hot but a lot of fun.

No more training wheels in our house!

Peter Pan

Carissa was very excited about there being a drama club at school this year. The play they worked on all year was Peter Pan and she was chosen to be one of the Peter Pans. She did an amazing job and discovered a new talent... ACTING!

Pinewood derby 2011

Carsten enjoyed his first pinewood derby. He won first place for best in show.

Mattress fun

We were getting the girls new mattresses so we figured why not have a little fun. After the kids watched mom throw the mattresses out a third floor window, they got to jump on them.

Carissa's 11th Birthday

Snow January 2011

It started snowing late on January 10th and I could not resists waking the kids up to play. In 30 minutes we got almost 6 inches and had a blast playing in the fresh snow. We tried to wake up Caitlin but she wanted to sleep.

We found lots of ways to play and enjoyed our breaks of hot chocolate from Mom.

We got really creative with how to keep warm. We had some crazy outfits since we don't have a ready supply of winter clothes.

Eli and the kids decided to build an igloo, They worked on it for 2 days and it lasted for almost 2 weeks.

This was our snowman from the very first night of snow. When the temps rose and sun came out, our little snowman face-planted it.

We enjoyed our week off of school but were ready to get out of the house!
